What is Outlander
Outlander is a show about time travel and love. It follows the story of Claire Randall, who is married to Frank Randall. Claire is taken to 18th-century Scotland, where she meets Jamie Fraser, a loved one from her past. The two fall in love but must hide their relationship from the Randall family. Along the way, they encounter dangers and challenges. Outlander has been airing since 2013, and there are currently three seasons airing. Fans are eagerly awaiting the fourth season, which is set to air in 2019.
Season 6 of Outlander
Reports from the set of Season 6 of Outlander have been sparse, however, what we do know is that the upcoming season will be based largely on the novel Voyager. Based on this and other information it seems safe to say that Season 6 will be a drastic departure from what viewers are accustomed to. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore has stated “this season we’re really going off book.” This could mean big things for fans of the show, or it could mean dire consequences for our favorite characters.
Based on early reports, it looks like Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) may end up in France during the course of Season 6. Fans have been preparing themselves for years for an appearance by Madame de Montfort (Claire Serrailles), so this news might not be as exciting as some would hope. However, there’s still plenty of speculation about what will happen during Season 6, so stay tuned!
Series Finale of Outlander
Spoiler Alert! The final episode of season 4 of Outlander aired on Sunday night and it was an emotional end to what has been a very impressive series. There have been so many plot twists and turns over the past four seasons that it’s hard to know where to start. So, let’s just say that the finale answered a lot of questions while also introducing several new ones. Here are five things we learned from the series finale of Outlander:
1) Jamie is back
One of the most hotly debated plot points throughout the entire series has been whether or not Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) survived his fight at Culloden. It seemed like he didn’t when Claire (Caitriona Balfe) returned to France without him, but he showed up in the finale as one of Randall Fraser’s (Tobias Menzies) prisoners. This could mean a few things – either Jamie is still alive and being held captive by the Frasers, or he somehow managed to escape captivity and return home. We’ll just have to wait for Season 5 to find out for sure!
2) Claire has a child
Claire revealed in season 4 that she was pregnant after her time traveling with Frank (Tobias Menzies), and we finally saw her give birth in the finale. We didn’t learn who the father was yet, but considering there were plenty of potential candidates it’s safe to say that something will happen in Season 5 involving
What Happens in Season 7
Fans of Outlander are eagerly awaiting the show’s return in just a few weeks, and with good reason. In Season 7 we saw our favorite time-traveling couple, Claire and Jamie, deal with some heavy issues while also trying to save the British army from defeat at the Battle of Culloden.
We also met new characters like Frank and Lizzie, as well as returning favorites like Dougal MacKenzie and Davy Crockett. The season ended with a major cliffhanger that left fans eager for more.
Here are five things we can expect in Season 7:
- The Battle of Culloden will be a critical focus of the season, with Jamie and Claire fighting against overwhelming odds in an effort to save their friends and allies.
- Frank will play a larger role this season, providing support to Jamie and Claire while also searching for his own place in the world.
- Questions about Claire’s paternity will be answered in a major way, as Frank comes out of hiding to confront her father Randall about his relationship with her mother.
- There seems to be some turmoil brewing within the Jacobite cause, as Dougal MacKenzie begins questioning whether or not he should continue fighting for Stuart’s rule after seeing how bad things are going.
- Finally, there is an ominous new character who has been lurking in the background since Season 6. Someone who may have links to the French
